About Miss Rodeo Idaho 2023

Lydia Miller was crowned Miss Rodeo Idaho 2023 at the 206th annual Snake River Stampede in Nampa, Idaho. She has attained an associate’s degree from the College of Southern Idaho and plans to continue her education and obtain a bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Business. She will utilize this education to continue on the path of upholding her family’s ranching legacy.

In her spare time, Miller enjoys leatherwork and has turned this hobby into a small business. She actively contributes to her community as a 4-H leader, guiding and mentoring young members to show Texas Longhorn cattle. Miller says she loves kids and is passionate about teaching them how to halter break and train these animals while also teaching them to have confidence within themselves.

She looks forward to leaving her mark on society in the future and continuing to embrace her rich heritage in Idaho agriculture. 

Outside of rodeo, Miller serves as an ambassador for Project Filter – Idaho Fights Tabacco and Stampede for the Cure, a program that provides cancer detection screenings to uninsured and underinsured women. She also has partnered with the campaign, “No More Empty Saddles,” a suicide prevention program aimed at improving mental health in rural communities and within the sport of rodeo.

Shopping at the Buhl Country Store

When asked what she usually buys at Valley Wide Country Store, Miller responded, “My mom and I come down for jewelry and clothes, but of course, we buy things like feed for our livestock, tack for our horses, and everything in between.”

Valley Wide was excited to sponsor Lydia’s shopping trip to offer her the support that she’s so willing to give everyone else in her community.
