The EAP is a company paid benefit and is available to you following your date of hire. EAP provides confidential counseling on a wide range of issues for financial, legal, and personal matters.

Employee Paid Supplemental benefits available through MetLife; Supplemental Life Insurance for yourself and your dependents, Critical Illness Coverage, Accident Coverage, MetLaw.

BASIC LIFE AND ACCIDENTAL DEATH & DISMEMBERMENT (AD&D)
Both plans are offered. Eligible employees can receive up to 1½ x salary or a maximum of $250,000;minimum of $50,000 coverage.

LONG-TERM DISABILITY

The Long-Term Disability program provides continuing income if you are sick or totally disabled from work for more than six months. The benefit is 60% of your annualized base pay, prior to your disability, up to $10,000.

HOLIDAY BENEFITS

VWC & Valley Ag have 6 paid holidays per calendar year; New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, and Christmas.

RETIREMENT 401(k) PLAN

VWC & Valley Ag will match your contribution equal to 100% of your deferrals up to 6% of compensation. You are immediately 100% vested in your401(k) account. Waiting period varies based on employee classification.

On-demand Pay. Access to a portion of your earned payroll before payday.

MEDICAL | DENTAL | VISION

Employees are eligible for benefits on the first of the month following 30 days from date of hire.

• MEDICAL BENEFITS – Blue Cross of Idaho ; choose between 3 plans, high deductible, low deductible, and health savings account. A prescription drug program is included with each medical plan.

• DENTAL BENEFITS – MetLife Dental; choose between Basic or Enhanced options. The Enhanced option offers $500 more per individual Maximum Annual Benefit than the Traditional plan.

• VISION BENEFITS – Vision Service Plan (VSP) consists of one comprehensive plan option.

PAID TIME OFF (PTO)

PTO combines time off for vacation, illnesses, accidents, and personal leave into one category of leave. PTO will be allotted per the chart below and is determined based on the employee’s length of service.

20+ Years of Service – 9.23 hours per paycheck or 30 days per year.

10-19 Years of Service – 7.69 hours per paycheck or 25 days per year.

5-9 Years of Service – 6.15 hours per paycheck or 20 days per year.

2-4 Years of Service – 4.62 hours per paycheck or 15 days per year.

0-1 Years of Service – 3.08 hours per paycheck or 10 days per year.
