Keeping Up with the Co-op
Our Valley Wide construction crews have stayed busy recently, diligently working on two major projects. The first is the country store in Wendell, ID, where we have been working on the new farm store, replacing the current gas station and convenience store in this location. The second is the Delta, UT tank farm that has been completed and is fully operational.
Wendell, ID
The development at the Wendell store is well underway, and we can’t wait to unveil the result in a couple of months. Here is an update on the current status:
There is substantial progress of the interior of the Wendell store, with ceiling paint and ducting now complete. The sales floor walls are primed and will be ready for actual color soon. Before that, the drywall must be finished, and contractors are in the final stages of taping and sanding every wall. The siding on the columns and the vestibule are fully finished, and lighting installations are progressing.
On the electrical front, additional lighting, pendants, and track lights are being integrated, along with more gear to optimize amperage usage.
Externally, the siding and lighting are almost finished, marking substantial progress. Safety measures are being reinforced with the installation of bollards around the parking lot and main building. Simultaneously, the Cleary warehouse shell is moving towards completion, transitioning from framing and sheet metal to interior framing and electrical work.
We are excited to be just two months away from completing construction and looking forward to another great year!
The projected completion date for this project is February 2024.
Current Wendell Update
Delta, UT
We are excited to announce the completion of the Delta Ag power plant, with the new railroad system completely installed. The new power and controls to automate the tank farm are providing water, fertilizer and chemicals while streamlining the process for everyone working. We are looking forward to using this updated system to increase efficiency!
