A Heartfelt Congrats to Rigby
A few weeks ago in Moscow, Idaho, the University of Idaho held the annual State FFA Career Development Event (CDE) competition. FFA chapters from all across the state gathered to apply their skills and knowledge of agriculture to real-world scenarios. These CDEs cover a wide array of topics and could require students to give presentations, identify plants, participate in team discussions, and engage in hands-on activities.
The Rigby FFA chapter competed in the Agricultural Communications CDE, an event in which teams had to create a media plan, present it to a panel of judges, and individually apply their knowledge to a quiz and editing exercise. Their media plan was about choosing and promoting an FFA supporter (Valley Wide) through several media approaches and included details of Valley Wide and Rigby’s deep-rooted partnership. Additionally, Valley Wide employees collaborated with the students to offer valuable insights and guidance, helping them refine their strategies, tactics, and project details.
The four students on the team not only took the state championship but also carried some of the overall individual high scores. Hallee Miller was the individual state champion, Lucy Barney was the 3rd high individual, and Hannah Clarke was the 4th high individual.
We are beyond proud of these students and their remarkable achievements. Their dedication and hard work earned them a well-deserved success at a state level. We look forward to continuing our support as they move on to Nationals in October!
Congratulations and Good Luck, Rigby FFA!
