We are in your valley, and we are here to help.
Since 1920 Valley Wide Cooperative has been involved in the communities we live, work, and play. That involvement incudes a generous community giving program that supports organizations in agriculture and rural communities. Our ability to give generously stems from the financial strength of our members. Because of you, and the financial performance of the cooperative, we can invest in the future of our communities and support those in need.
Here are some of the stories of the organizations we’ve partnered with:
American Falls City Park – $5,000
American Falls, Idaho
The City of American Falls was looking to replace some playground equipment in its popular North City Park. Valley Wide was pleased to partner with several other businesses in the area to help in the project. Valley Wide recently opened a country store in American Falls, and we plan on being active in the community for years to come.
Malheur County Search & Rescue – $600
Vale, Oregon
The Malheur County Search and Rescue provides an invaluable service to their community. The team is made up entirely of volunteers and only receives a small amount of funding from the sheriff’s office. Malheur County, located on the eastern side of Oregon, is large and rugged, making search and rescue difficult and often dangerous. The team recently needed new equipment to help during rope rescues and recoveries. Valley Wide was happy to purchase that equipment for the team.
Camas County Senior and Community Center $2000
Fairfield, Idaho
The mission of the Camas County Senior and Community Center is to serve as a hub and focal point for the members of their rural community. During the center’s closure due to COVID-19, their walk-freezer went out, and they lost all their meat and frozen food. Valley Wide partnered with the center to award them $2000 to help fix their walk-in freezer and replace some of the lost food.
Muscular Dystrophy Association $5,000
Boise, Idaho
The MDA Shamrocks in an annual, nationwide fundraiser held during and around St. Patrick’s Day. The program supports children and adults with muscular dystrophy, ALS, and related neuromuscular diseases. This year, Valley Wide Country Stores partnered with the Muscular Dystrophy Association to participate in their annual Shamrock program. Together, eighteen of the Valley Wide County Store raised nearly $5,000 during two weeks through a round-up program and shamrock sales.
