A Prosperous Partnership
Valley Wide Cooperative is dedicated to supporting the next generation of farmers, leaders, and agricultural enthusiasts by sponsoring numerous youth organizations and associations. One key sponsorship is Miss Rodeo Idaho, through which we proudly support an influential role model within the rodeo community.
About Miss Rodeo Idaho 2024
Ashley Kerby was crowned Miss Rodeo Idaho at the 2023 Snake River Stampede in Nampa, Idaho, following a weeklong pageant where she demonstrated her abilities in public speaking, horseback riding skills, and equine knowledge. She said what she appreciates most about being Miss Rodeo Idaho is all the support including sponsorships.
“All the support we get from amazing sponsors like Valley Wide help us with the scholarships for the Miss Rodeo Idaho pageant, and we couldn’t do it without them,” she said.
Ashley holds a bachelor’s degree in Animal Science from the University of Idaho and plans to pursue graduate studies to become a doctor of veterinary medicine specializing in large animals. Along with her scholastic endeavors, Ashley indulges in several passions including travel, art, hiking, and trail riding. She aims to visit at least one National Park annually and even recently expanded her expertise in large animal care by volunteering at an Elephant Sanctuary in Thailand. Ashley also has a pottery studio and continues to practice with her 7-year-old reigning horse.

Reflecting on her role as Miss Rodeo Idaho, Ashley emphasizes the importance of being a well-educated leader who is deeply passionate about her work. She has used her time as Miss Rodeo Idaho to share her knowledge of the sport she loves with fans of rodeo along with those who are just discovering it. She also has been able to promote other causes in her position such as being a spokesperson for Stampede for the Cure, and a team member for Project Filter – Idaho Fights Tobacco, encouraging Idahoans of all ages the importance of living a tobacco-free lifestyle.
Following her year as Miss Rodeo Idaho, Ashley will represent the Gem State at the Miss Rodeo America Pageant in Las Vegas, Nevada in December 2024.
Shopping at the Jerome Country Store
Ashley has already travelled thousands of miles across Idaho, and still has much more to go, so she appreciates the convenience Valley Wide Country store offers. She says Valley Wide is a one-stop-shop for gas, snacks, tack, clothes and everything in between.
Ashely also said her number one go-to item at the country store is Wrangler jeans. “I always need to have Wranglers on, so when I’m shopping at the Valley Wide Country store, I get lots of Wrangler jeans, as well as western button ups, cute jackets, boots and belts – all the necessities,” she said.
We are so grateful to support Ashley and offer her the same support she offers everyone in her community.
