Jerome, ID – Valley Wide Cooperative and Valley Agronomics LLC, donated $500 to the Jerome Senior Center. The funds that were given will be distributed to helping with the local Senior Nutrition Program that includes in-house and home delivered meals for local senior citizens. Gillian Minter, Director of the Jerome Senior Center said, “In July, our per meal grant money from the federal government was not raised, causing a shortage of funds to feed the increasing senior’s in the community. The rising cost of food, utilities, and other expenses the seniors are faced with have increased, not allowing them to donate back to the senior center to
help pay for the food. The donation Valley Wide Cooperative has given will help us supplement what we lost in funds from the grant program. We appreciate all the help Valley Wide Cooperative has given”. As a member of the Jerome community, we would challenge all other local businesses and residents to donate to the Senior Center and help provide this hunger assistance to our elders. Valley Wide Cooperative is always looking for ways to support the communities and residents that we do business with.
