JOB SUMMARY:

  • Oversee day-to-day accounting functions including reviewing journal entries, preparing and reviewing account reconciliations, tying out sub-ledgers to general ledger and investigating differences.
  • Monitor the daily cash needs of the entity and facilitate ACH and Wires as needed.
  • Direct and coordinate entity financial reporting and budget management functions.
  • Provide recommendations for procedural improvements.
  • Recommend benchmarks for measuring the financial and operating performance of departments.
  • Provides status of financial condition by collecting, interpreting, and reporting financial data.
  • Work closely with other managers as necessary regarding all accounting issues.
  • Provide information to external auditors for annual audits.
  • Other duties as assigned.
 
RESPONSIBILITES:
  • Supervise accounting staff that supports the legal entity.  
  • Responsible for preparation of monthly financial statements for the legal entity. 
  • Ensure compliance with state and federal government reporting requirements and tax filing.
  • Protects operations by keeping financial information and plans confidential.
 
REQUIREMENTS:
  • Bachelors in Accounting or related field required. CPA and/or CMA preferred.
  • Ten plus years accounting experience preferred.
  • Must have strong communication skills; ability to communicate in appropriate, professional manner with managers, supervisors, employees, customers, vendors and general public.
  • Must be able to maintain accurate data, make appropriate decisions and execute them according to policy.
  • Must maintain appropriate and expected levels of customer service throughout the store.
  • Must have ability to determine order of need and task priority based on level of importance.
  • Must have a manager focus in all interactions and exhibit strong critical thinking/ problem solving skills.
  • Must exhibit a professional and positive image.
